Penelope Sienna is a visual artist who lives in Lismore NSW.
She works in a wide range of mediums including: painting, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, photography and mask-making.
She is currently working towards an exhibition about living in an urban environment on the edge of an ancient rainforest called The Big Scrub. This work interrogates the widespread issue of unregulated domestic and feral animals impacting native wildlife and habitat.
Her previous exhibition Birds (assemblage sculpture) focused on the experience of finding peace, acceptance and vitality when supporting someone through life-threatening illness. She combined old broken objects with hand-built ceramic components to bring new life to the old and discarded.
Penelope has lived, worked and exhibited for the last 20 years in Melbourne, VIC and the Northern Rivers, NSW.
